In helping people improve the different areas of their life, life coaches must undergo training that would prepare them in their profession.  Through training programs, aspiring life coaches learn about the psychological principles of coaching, how to conduct a coaching assessment to identify the clients’ needs, communication skills, and ethics in coaching.  It’s important to find a training program that’s accredited by industry associations like the International Coach Federation to learn from the best.

The next step is to get accredited.  The credentials are provided by professional associations like the International Coach Federation and the International Association of Coaching.  Before getting receiving the credentials, a potential life coach must first demonstrate their expertise, showing only high work standards.  Set up a business classification to get particular legal protections as a business owner.
