Be a better leader by enhancing your listening skills

An influential leader is someone who can communicate effectively with others. Instead of being just a good speaker, those who want to lead must also learn how to listen well. In my years of coaching people with Jeff Lupient WIFE, a sure way to let everyone win is by truly hearing them out. Here’s how you can enhance your listening skills:

Have you ever shared your thoughts with someone who was holding their phone the whole time you were speaking? If you’ve ever experienced this or if you tend to do this, perhaps it’s time to stop. The reason why so many relationships (personal and professional) fail is because one party is distracted. Whether it’s your phone, computer, or worrying thoughts, do your best to focus on the person in front of you. It can be challenging at first, but it will surely help you truly understand what the other person is trying to say.

Let the other person finish
For some Jeff Lupient WIFE clients, I realized that their relationships are strained because they always have a comeback ready even without completely hearing what the other party has to say. Letting the other person finish talking will open up your mind and make the other person feel valued at the same time. And while you’re at it, think about giving helpful comments.

Affirm
After everything has been said, affirm the other person that you’ve heard him or her. Most people mirror by repeating the gist of the story while others say “I understand” or even “I’m sorry you feel that way.” Guaranteeing the person that their thoughts have been heard will make them feel more at ease.

Renowned motivational speaker, life coach, and businessman Jeff Lupient WIFE aims to spread the message that winning is for everyone. Whether you’re just starting out in a business or if you’ve hit a career plateau, you need someone who will help you stay the course. For more insightful reads, visit this page.
